Privacy Policy

This explains what personal information Uplift Fitness Ltd. collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can get it removed. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are

Uplift Fitness Ltd. operates a personal training gym at 7542 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, and the websites at upliftfitness.ca and book.upliftfitness.ca.

We are the organization responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For anything relating to your privacy, contact us at [email protected] or (604) 603-5095.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to do the thing you asked us to do.

InformationWhen we collect it
Name and email addressWhen you submit a form on our website, or a lead form in a Facebook or Instagram ad.
Phone numberWhen you book a session, so we can send you appointment reminders.
Appointment detailsWhen you book a session with us — the date, time, and any notes you provide.
Email engagement dataWhether our emails were delivered, opened, or clicked.
Technical and usage dataWhen you visit our sites — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring source, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as health conditions, medical history, or payment card details through these forms. Please do not send them to us by email.

Why we use it

  • To send you what you requested — for example, the guide you signed up for.
  • To follow up by email with related tips, offers, and information about training at Uplift Fitness.
  • To book and manage appointments, including confirmations and reminders by email and text message.
  • To respond when you contact us.
  • To measure and improve our advertising and understand which ads and pages are working.

Your consent. When you submit your details to us, you are consenting to receive marketing emails from Uplift Fitness. You can withdraw that consent at any time — every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and you can also email us and ask to be removed. Withdrawing consent does not affect appointment confirmations or reminders for a session you have actually booked.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it.

We share it with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf so that our business can function:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) — when you submit a lead form inside one of our ads, Meta collects that information and passes it to us. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
  • HighLevel Inc. / LeadConnector — our customer relationship management, email, scheduling, and website platform. Your name, email, phone number, and appointment details are stored here.
  • Google — website analytics, where enabled.

We may also disclose personal information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to protect our legal rights.

Where your information is stored

Our service providers store and process data on servers located outside of Canada, primarily in the United States. This means your personal information may be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement, and government authorities under the laws of those countries. By submitting your information to us, you acknowledge this transfer.

Cookies and tracking

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta pixel and analytics tools, to understand how people find and use our pages and to measure the performance of our advertising.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of our site may not work properly if you do. You can also adjust how Meta uses your activity for advertising through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you remain a subscriber or client, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and legal purposes.

If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing email but retain a minimal record of your email address so that we do not accidentally contact you again. If you ask us to delete your information entirely, we will do so, except where we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask for a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

How we protect it

We use reputable service providers who maintain industry-standard security, access our accounts through password-protected logins, and limit access to the people who need it to run the business. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

Children

Our services and advertising are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will let subscribers know by email.
